Dr. Jenna Daum is the Acting Second Flute of The Phoenix Symphony and the flute teacher at Grand Canyon University.
An experienced and engaging teacher, 
Jenna has been a Faculty Associate and Graduate Teaching Assistant at Arizona State University and the Director and Founder of the Arizona State University Community Flute Ensemble.  Jenna holds her Bachelor of Music with Highest Honors from the University of Illinois, and Masters in Music and Doctorate in Music from Arizona State University.

Jenna  has performed with many orchestras around the country including: Arizona Musicfest Festival Orchestra, Colorado Music Festival Orchestra (Boulder,CO), Symphony of the Southwest, Chandler Symphony, Pierre Monteux School Orchestra (Hancock, Maine), the Brevard Music Center Orchestra (Brevard, NC) and St. Louis Philharmonic.  

    As a soloist, Jenna has been the winner of the Mu Phi Epsilon Phoenix Chapter Solo Competition, Flute Society of St. Louis Competition, Mary Payne Solo Competition, and the prestigious Thomas Smith Competition at the University of Illinois. 
When not driving her cat Minka, dog Elliot, and husband, trumpet player Derek Sanchez, crazy with the endless sound of the flute and piccolo, Jenna enjoys vegetable gardening, baking, yoga, and any activity involving the outdoors.
